Haiku for Bigwig

September 26, 2008

Beneath fresh flowers
lies the gray Flemish giant.
Forever he sleeps.

Bigwig

Our Flemish giant Bigwig died on Monday, September 16, 2008. I found him laying underneath morning glories. It seemed most peaceful. He was a big bunny; last time we weighed him he was 12 pounds. He was also a unique rabbit. Too unique, he couldn't take part in rabbit shows. What made him different was his half-flopped ears. It is what made us choose him.

He lived outside, so we didn't get to see him as much as we did when he lived inside. He was active the days before so it was a surprise to find him the way I did. I wish we knew what happened to him...

Aww Cori I am sooo sorry, he was an awesome rabbit. I know you'll miss him, Zach died too, at the beginning of September. It seems September was a sad month. How are you? I miss you! I think I got a call from you but I'm not sure, there was no return number

I do understand how you feel about Bigwig. My Jujubear passed away recently and he too, had a very peaceful passing. Bigwig must've liked it in that spot underneath the morning glories. You must miss him a lot. He's such an adorable bunny. I hope you're feeling better now dearie.
